This is the fourth in a series of "reading math" exercises I�m making. This page contains seven quite easy texts, and each of them is about reading and understanding a text in order to do a simple calculation. Laminate the page and cut out the seven texts. Students work with them in pairs or groups. : )

This exercise is meant for practising "to be".
Cut out the small cards and give them to a group of 2 - 6 students. Place the cards upside down on the table. The first student picks up a card and reads the sentence, inserting the correct form of "to be". If it�s correct, the student gets that card = 1 point.
