Sinking Ice Lesson Plan
Water expands when it freezes. What if it contracted like other matter? Get students to work in groups to list all the changes in the world that would occur if this were true. This is realistic practice of the conditional tenses that leads to much discussion. Would the sea level rise or drop? For older students studying science.
