Basic Level Writing Mistakes
I developed this worksheet after having collected my students a writing about their last holidays.
I made a list of their "hit-parade" mistakes, so that all of them could correct their own and their matess mistakes.
They found it useful, so now I do it every time a collect a writing.
Hope it helps you :)

THE FAMILY TREE
Simple but funny activity where students have to think a little bit in order to get conclusions, know whos who, and complete the family tree. I put the students in groups, and they usually get "angry" at the very beginning, but then all the groups try to be the first ones and "win the competition". Hope you like it!!

Pronounciation and phonetics practice
This worksheet has a series of exercises Ive used with my intermediate students, in order to make them understand the importance of being able to read phonetics and, finally, learn to pronounce correctly.
The exercises are written double since, if you print them both sides of a sheet, you can cut the page into two halves and save paper. Ecologica...

CLEAR SUMMARY CHART for THERE IS-ARE, A, SOME, ANY
Ive designed this guide for Beginner-Elementary students.
Its not unusual to have some of them experiencing problems with SOME-ANY. So I prepared this (rather clear, I think) summary chart, with colours and examples, so that they can understand it properly.
It worked very well when I used it, even with weak adult students.
Hope it helps!!!

SPEAKING - Spending committee - Where to spend money on your school
Short but time-consuming speaking activity for advanced students.
Since they usually complain about the school system, teachers, facilities and everything in general, Ive proposed them the following situation:
Imagin their school has been given a large sum of money to spend on new materials, so they have to decide in groups how to spend it, defe...

LISTENING - Communication Problems
Hilarious chapter from the well-known British comedy "Fawlty Towers".
Ive used with pre-intermediate students, they had a lot of fun, and understood how easy is having a misunderstanding just confusing a simple sound. They understood at last the importance of phonetics.. :D
Its a listening activity divided as usual in three parts: fill-in-the-g...

SPEAKING practice for A2 students - One minute topics
Ive used this activity several times with my A2 students, in order to make them start talking more than just one sentence, and to gain confidence when speaking. And it has worked really well.
At the beginning they argue the wont be able to speak for more than 30 seconds, but after they forget their nerves, they realise I have to stop them becaus...
