007 Secret Message
I use this sort of exercise to have children practise spelling and revise numbers and colours. They play in small groups of 3 and "decode" the message. After that they read the message and do the spelling of each word.
They may also write their own message in numbers and tell it to other groups reading the numbers.

Matching

This type of exercise goes after all the work with the various pictionaries. I check if the children have memorized the words with a "matching" exercise: the words are not just below the pictures and they have to choose the correct match.

"Call a spade a spade" is the pictionary I gave my very young school children to learn as summer homework. Children usually name each item of a category, but I think it�s better for them to learn the group name they belong to. Counting by tens
I play a sort of tennis game with the children: I say a number, ten, and the child I point at has to quickly answer Twenty and so on. The child that doesn�t answer correctly has to do something for his/her friends: collect books, clean the blackboard... It�s great fun.
