A guided writing activity aimed at students studying academic writing for IELTS, TOEFL, GAC etc. Students learn academic expressions for periods of time with exaamples of usage then plan and write an essay about social and cultural development in their country in the 20th century.

FCE transactional letters practice activity
This is a preparation activity for Cambridge FCE Paper 2 Part 1. Students study a scenario and then practice writng a transactional letter of complaint. A possible model answer is included. The format follows FCE requirements but the worksheet could also be adapted for IELTS GT, BEC and othe rcourses which require formal letter writing skills.
