Here are a few writing ideas that i always keep with me for when the students need to practice various verb forms functionally. they are basic ideas, but can be used at any level For each level the teacher can make the task easier or harder by adding instructions to each and by giving the students a target word count.

Roleplays
Students practice the roleplays using the script. Here the focus is on pronunication and inonation. One role-play is written in the past, the other about future intentions. Students answer a few questions about the roleplay, and then write their own.
