Human greed is threatening yet another species from extinction, the frog. A newspaper text explains the problem which maybe much greater than the figures show. Talk for a minute starting with....
Laminate and cut the sheet into strips. Give each student a strip. The students have to each talk for a minute on their subject starting with the given lead-in (not stating the theme). The rest of the group try to guess the title of the given speech. (Idea taken from Keep Talking by F. Klippel)

A timetable is something visitors to England might be faced with when on holiday. For this exercise the student has to read a timetable, gather information amd form questions from it. It could well be used for intermediate students too, as a fun form of revision. Have a nice trip!

I�ve used an authentic text, (Daily Telegraph) which is not too difficult, and have writen EIGHT exercises for elementary students (A2)....children and adults alike. I could send the whole set of pictures belonging to the text by email if anyone is interested as they were too large to put here. However, they�re not absolutely necessary as the text...
