Classroom Matching Exercise
This simple matching exercise reinforces vocabulary and spelling. Students worked in pairs to match the words with the pictures. After practicing, I timed them and wrote the best time on the board. Students raced a second time to see if they could beat it. I laminated so I could reuse. They can also be used as a memory game.

I teach the correct pronunciation first by having students repeat the words after me two or three times. Then I call out one word of each pair and ss circle what they hear. I write the words I said on the board and ss tally how many they got right. I record all the scores on the board and get a grand total. Then I have volunteers come to the front ...
