Expression opinions
Its best to model the expressions first on the board by using different examples, ideally representing the pronouns, it, him, her and them. Then get them to complete the sentences on the latter half of this hand-out. They should write idea for the last two sentences. Once they have finished this then give them out the class opinion survey. They sh...

International characters 1
The first of eight activity cards discussing popular sports, food and pastimes and things you can see, do, eat and buy in each of the countries. I use these cards to get my students to talk about their character. When they have done this a few times they should be able to talk about themselves and their own country.

Colours questionnaire
This is a colours questionnaire I have just done recently with my first year junior high kids. I usually model the questions and get the students to repeat after me a number of times and then I get them to stand up and ask 5 people. The students should practice writing the colours down.

Jeopardy game
This is a fun game to play with your students. My students loved this game but I have designed it specifically for my Japanese students so you will need to change some of the questions to fit your students. Im sure they will enjoy it!

Opinions survey
After completing the presentation opinions hand-out, students should then walk around and ask three of their classmates their opinions of the things on the hand-out. To extend them, you could get them to use How about you? Give a feedback session after they have finished.

Musical instruments
Heres the first set of musical instruments flashcards. Ive done two of each, one with the English word written on it and one without. I usually use the ones with the words on it first and then I use the others for when I want to test the students on the vocabulary. I usually print them back to back and then laminate them. Have fun using them.

Clocks
Here are a set of clocks you can print as small cards or as flashcards. If you are using them as flashcards, I recommend that you print the words on the back so that the students can try and say the time first. If you are using them as small game cards, I recommend that you print them all out and laminate them so they can play the memory game.
