This is a worksheet I use for Entry 1 learners in Offender Learning. It is designed to make them think about what a sentence is, progressing to capital letters and full stops. The final page is for higher level Entry 1 learners who can write their own short sentences without prompts.

This worksheet follows my 1st in building sentences and takes things a step further. The worksheet gradually builds up to encourage learners to write their own small sentences taking small steps at a time.

Cars and Driving
This is a simple worksheet based on parts of a car - steering wheel, gearstick etc. S&L-tutor asks the question �what is this?� Learners respond in full sentences - �this is a.....� Following this they can then write their sentence in full - box of words provided on 2nd page for lower ability learners. Classroom rules and instructions
This I use as an icebreaker activity when teaching classroom rules and intructions. I use it with new starters just to ascertain what current knowledge the learners already have. The students need to select one answer out of 3! Nice and simple!
