 | Perfect PET Part 3 Writing. Part 1 Ive been slowly developing my PET students writing for a number of years now and Ive just about managed to get 90 of my students to do an almost perfect part 3 writing. This is a two part lesson plan. Part one being the bones of the class. Part two is the exciting way of sticking it in your students memories.

 | Pronunciation Maze This activity is great for getting students to focus on their pron. It also draws their attention to the many different spelling the sound 3: (er) has so many different spellings.
I get my students to find the right way and then write a story using the words theyve highlighted.

 | Text Talk Warmer I use this as a warmer to classes about the internet or mobile phones. Simply cut out the different sides of the worksheet and get students to put them together. Afterwards you can get them to write text messages or emails to each other with as many different "text talk" words as possible.

 | The Kooks Naive Rather than just doing the simple gap fill this is. I tend to listen to the opening 5 lines and get students to write down what they hear. Then I ask them to translate it into their own language and back into English but using slightly different words.
When were done I get them to tell me what the song means.

 | Thge First Time Ever I Saw Your Face my intermediarte adults are doing a unit on love so I decided to knock together one of the most beautiful songs ever written. also one of the most covered. Its been great for helping students get to grips with some metaphors and weve had a debate about which version was the best. All in all a great activity.
