Hamlet in 5 Minutes
I had to put on a play with my seventh grade class for the talent show. I rewrote Hamlet so that it is nice and short (perhaps around 7 minutes if not 5) and in easy to understand language, with some of the subtleties of Shakespeare made very obvious. It could be a fun read for an in-class activity, or whatever. Hope someone can use it!

Native American Iroquois Jigsaw Reading
This is a great resource for teaching reading comprehension skills and the history of the Iroquois people. It was created for a high-level grade 6 class in Taiwan. Easy to customize or alter for your needs.

Eric Garner and Mike Brown Reading comprehension
I wrote this for my Grade 9 class in Taiwan - fully editable and just an overview of the cases (through my biased eyes) to enable students to know the news stories.

Trayvon Martin Jigsaw Activity
Students were asking me about the Trayvon Martin case, as they had seen about it online. This activity has some crime related vocabulary that should be pre-taught/reviewed and is a great jigsaw that really gets students talking. A writing assignment could follow. Could be used on a unit about media bias as well.
