Hi! I joined this site 16 months ago and I m loving it! I m not easily impressed, but I ve seen such good (and beautiful!!!) work here. What impresses me most though is the companionship, the friendliness I can see here everyday and, ultimately, this great sense of belonging to a very, very special group. Thank you Victor! Thank you all for that! :))*

Writing Workshop 1 (for elementary students)
This year I have a 90 minute writing workshop with a group of 6 students every week (for 4 months). They are in the 7th grade (3rd year of English), but they cant write. After two lessons teaching them how to work with the dictionary (see "Dictionary Work" series), I started with simple sentences and word order - students had to order jumbled word...

How good is your physical self-image? - Quiz for Intermediate and Advanced students
Ive got several quizzes for body image but this is the one I like most. If students answer it honestly, theyll have a lot to talk about and, hopefully, increase their self-esteem and self-confidence. I think this is a nice way to introduce the topics "Health and fitness" or "Body Image". There are lots of readings about it in the site. Hope you ...

Grammar worksheet on 3 Verb tenses: Simple Present, Present Continuous and Be going to Future for Upper Elementary or Lower Intermediate students
This is the way I usually choose to make my students practise the use of these 3 verb tenses at the same time, because I really think it makes the rules quite clear for routines/everyday actions (SPres,), for what were doing at the moment (PCont.) and for what were going to do later (Be going to future). Students can roleplay the dialogue at the ...

Reported Speech III - Statements with MODAL Auxiliaries
Now the focus is on Modals and reporting gets a little bit more difficult (Higher Intermediate or Advanced). Thats why Ive decided to include the basic rules first (No inference, just to review). Exercise A is easier - crossing the wrong one out and in B students must report what other people have said. KEY included! Hope you are enjoying my set ...
