Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters Chapter 1 Reading Comprehension
I used this with my high school reading class. The students answered the questions as we read Chapter 1. The first page contains short questions based on the movie trailer. I found it a good activity to introduce the lesson.

Adele Someone Like You
I let the class listen to the song 3 times (more or less depending on level and ability of class). They must listen and fill in the blanks. Another good activity is to then give them the full lyrics but cut up into verses. By listening to the song, they must place the verses in the correct order.

Look and Think
Fold the worksheet in half and give the students a time limit to study the picture. Then asked them to turn it over to the questions (ensuring they understand not to look back at the picture) and then answer the questions as best they can.

I also completed work on the vocab (such as different terrains eg desert, swamp, arctic etc) associated with Man Vs Wild before showing them the episode.
