A template to help you assess a learners speaking skills. I tend to change the assessment elements depending on what I have been teaching, so you�ll need to change these to match your curriculum. Additionally, the scoring system I have chosen is specific to the learners that I was teaching, so you might want to tweak this before you print out.

Minimal Pairs - Short Vowel Sounds
An activity to develop listening and speaking skills using short vowel sounds - minimal pairs. This can be good fun for the learners if used correctly but you will need to explain the instructions carefully. It�s helpful for their speaking but also for listening between very similar sounding words such angry/hungry.
