It was part of the project with colleagues working on Arthur Miller�s Crucible.
The 1st and 5th Amendment are given to them to explain how the Hollywood Ten defended themselves during the hearings.

SHUTTER ISLAND - EXTRACT FROM THE NOVEL
After working on the trailer, this extract is a good way to train students to identify the different characters, the chronology of events and what the characters are doing/did. It worked quite well with my students. I also give them a grid to complete to help them organise the pieces of information they find. Have fun.
