This is a creative writing task. It can be extended into a speaking task as well if students are asked to retell thier ghost stories (this can be a lot of fun if the atmosphere is good ie, sitting in a circle, lights dimmed etc.

Accidentally in Love - Counting Crows
This is not just a listening task - this is a reading task as well using a concert advertisment for Counting Crows. My students love this as it gives the task some authenticity. Fairy Tale
The classes I have worked this task with have loved it. They have really twisted the fairy tale and presented using costumes etc - they were fully engaged. It is a great confidence builder, fosters creative thinking and problems solving skills as well as allows students to use the language. It can be used for lower intermediate students too. It was...
