This is part 2 which also goes with the powerpoint presentation. Get the students to work in groups for the cave paintings (my students were really creative when describing the pictures). For the Flinstones video, I just showed them a you-tube clip of the opening song. Hope this helps!!

This is a worksheet I created to be used in conjunction with Needs vs. Wants. The students found the Monthly Budget fun because I assigned each student an occupation, Income, and Family, and they had to try to maximize their budget to suit their situations.

This is a short worksheet to explain the difference between "needs" and "wants". I found it worked really well to get the students talking about the differences between a rich society and a poor society. The group project was a hit at my school. We donated clothes and money to underprivileged children.
