BLACK HISTORY : ROSA PARKS BY THE NEVILLE BROTHERS
Here is a lesson I taught last month. I used the Neville Brothers� video to have the students discovered the story of Rosa Parks. I first used the black and white pictures (sound off) and Ss had to describe what happened and once they guessed, we studied the song. These are activities I have already used in class. The 1st activity aims at reordering a dialogue and learning the vocabulary you need when you answer the phone.Then the students practise the dialogue. The third activity consists in taking notes from the dialogue and last, they play roles using the activity cards provided.
