Action Words reference page
I use this as a writing reference aid for newcomer ELLs, especially in K through 2nd grade. It supports the writing of basic sentences, and the youngest ELLs can use it to practice fine motor skills as well. In addition, the sheet can be cut up and used as miniature flashcards for games, review, etc.

Action Word mini flashcards
This is a set of 36 illustrated action word flashcards (4 pages, 9 cards per page). I like to use them as cards for playing action word charades, where one student pantomimes an action and a classmate must guess the action word. However, they could definitely be used for other purposes as well.

Very Basic Multiple Choice Test for Early-Childhood ESL Students
This worksheet is used to introduce and practice the concept of multiple choice testing. It is helpful for young ESL students (K-2), who dont encounter tests in their regular curriculum, but who are expected to pass a rigorous test (with multiple choice) to be considered "English proficient."

School item flashcards for TPR activities
Give each student a set of cards to cut out. Use the cards for TPR activities that demonstrate comprehension (e.g., show me the pencil, put the notebook next to the backpack, touch the scissors to your hair).

Multi-item school cards
These cards have various school items represented in different numbers. They can be used to practice sentences such as "I have/see (#) items," and are especially useful for teaching and practicing the plural s. They can also be used to practice the concepts of more and less.

Action Word Dictionary for beginning writers
This page, if printed out double-sided on a sheet of legal paper, can be folded into a "dictionary" to guide beginning writers in writing action words. I use it for ELLs in Kindergarten and first grade, it allows them to write basic sentences as they are learning basic sight words. It could also be used for older ELLs with little or no experience...
