Checking the alphabet
This is a very simple set of cards with difficult names for students to practice spelling. I usually make them work in pairs, spelling the names to each other and then comparing what one student jotted down with what the other has in his/her card.

Writing - Three Little Pigs - Beginners
This is an exercise I give my sts midway through the course, to challenge them to start using everything theyve learned so far. Theyre supposed to write a modernized version of the Three Little Pigs story. I give them the first part for them to use as a model and they have to finish it. Its for Beginners so its Simple Present.

Simple Present - Routine - A day in the life of a police officer
This starts with a basic introduction of the character and goes on with his daily routine. Students have to put the sentences in a logical order. Theres also some drilling -- rewriting -- and some creativity, as they have to make up what the character does at lunchtime.
