Improve your writing
I created this worksheet to start a unit about writing style. The exercises in our book are quite difficult so I thought it would be wise to start out with a relatively easy little story. Didnt want to scare them off ;) I printed just the story on a transparency and we talked about possible improvements. Then they got the worksheet and we went th...

Reading Comprehension: Nothing left to lose (homeless teenagers)
This is a reading comprehension I created for my students (9th grade, 5th year of English). The text is taken from Morton Rhue`s "Asphalt tribe", a book about homeless teenagers in the US. The exercises, however, are mine :) After reading this part of the text my students wanted to read the entire book, they teenagers story really moved them...

Why English is such a complicated language - working with dictionaries
My advanced students had to work with English-English dictionaries and this is one of the worksheet they got, a humorous approach to the English language. I thought it would fill only 45min but I was wrong, they found so many examples that we used almost two lessons. Hope youll like it, maybe you have to adjust it to your own language. HAPPY EASTE...

Elementary Pronunciation Practice (Key included)
A little worksheet I created for 5th graders (1st year of English). I used it in one of the first English lessons as a combined vocab-writing-pronunciation practice. First they wrote down the plurals, then we read them out loud together (they love that ;)) Hope itll be useful!!

Well have Canadian exchange students at my school and in my classes this week, so I created a little test for my students just to see how much they know about the country of our guests. Hope itll be helpful for you as well :)

Conditional I grammar guide and worksheet (2 pages)
Last week I introduced the conditional I in my 6th grade and made these worksheets. My students only got the second part (horoscope and empty grid) as they have to figure out the rules themselves (more effective imo) but I included the full grammar guide here. Hope itll be useful for you as well :) Have a great weekend!!

Describing a picture
I created this worksheet for my 9th graders (intermediate - advanced) so I was able to use William Hogarths pictures. I love them, so many little, but important details to discover and older students get the meaning, too. I added the other pictues just for color but we ended up talking about them as well. Hope itll be useful for you. Have a grea...
