ELIZABETH - Giving Speeches (Rhetoric) ELIZABETH - Giving Speeches (Rhetoric)

I have created this activity to help my students understand what goes into being a GOOD PUBLIC SPEAKER. It analyses an excerpt from the movie "ELIZABETH" (link to Youtube provided). It consists of several parts: 1) A plot synopsis; 2) A short explanation about reformation (the excerpt deals with this subject); 3) A short introduction to Aristotle´s Rhetoric; 4)The video-watching activity which asks students to analyze what principles of Aristotle´s are employed. I have already done it in class and it works really well, especially if you contrast it with other speech of poor quality. THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING!
