HELP PLEASE

Dear colleagues,

I m having a look at the new textbooks I m going to work with this year.I come through a game  called "snake and ladder".I don t know how to play it.
It s a kind of large table with 100 squares.IN each square there is  a number(from 1 to 100).in some squares there are pictures , and each two pictures are matched either by a ladder or a snake. For instance , in square (58 Fifty eight) we have a sad man, and in square(19nineteen) we have a bed: these two squares are linked by a snake.
What can I ask the students to do?.take into consideration that the lesson is about(cardinal numbers).Have you ever come through this game?
Thanks

Hi!
here is the link

-you can  make quesiton cards and the pupils have to answer a question correctly
to go up the ladder or answer the question correctly to stay at the head of the snake

-you can create chalenging extra cards if they fail to answer correctly,
they get a  chance to answer another question!

-you also can use 2 dice as well!

-if the pupils do not answer correctly -they go back!

I made a smaller one with question marks on some numbers and my kids love it!

What they do not know is I am evaluating them while playing... Wink

This is the way I play it:

We use a dice. They took turns.
If they land on a plain number, nothing happens.
If they land on the head of the snake, it swallows them to the tail end....Ouch
If they land on its tail, nothing happens.
If at the bottom of the ladder, they climb up to the top.  Thumbs Up
If on the top, nothing happens.
If on a question mark (and they appear rather often) they have to answer a question or say something I ask them (usually the subject they had to revise). If the answer is correct, they stay there.
If incorrect, they have to go back six squares...Confused
