European day of languages

Hello colleagues :)

I am going to prepare some decoration for the European day of languages. Unfortunately I have no experience with that. Dont you have any ideas what to place at the school corridor, what to pin on the notice boards etc? Thank you in advance. Ivush

Hi,
A couple of years ago I had some inspiration from a teachers magazine, It s.
What I did: each class prepared a very short text on why it is important to learn languages. Then they wrote a neat copy on coloured post its which we stuck on a big column at the entrance hall. It was nice to look at, but also very motivating, because both students and visitors spent some time reading all the reasons (some solemn, some humorous, etc.).
You might also want to consult the coe web to see what they suggest.
If you work in a multilingual school, it would be nice to have students say hello or whatever in as many languages as they can.
Good luck!
