Halloween Games

Hello everyone!!! I am so thankful for all of the help I have received from previous posts in the past. I am back with a new question.  I need help with organizing different Halloween activities for my children.

Next month we will have a school party for all students. The classes will be divided by age and each party will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I am unsure about different activities to hold the children s interest.

In group on ages 2-3years old. In group two ages 4-5 years old. In group three ages 5-17years old. There will be be 50 total students in group three. Please give me any ideas. Thank you for your support.

Hello

I am also having a Halloween party at my school.  I am going to do traditional english games like musical chairs but with halloween songs and also pass the parcel where there will be like some sweets or a plastic bat wrapped up.  We then do crafts which you can adapt for all ages.  A really useful site is the Mr Maker site as the materials aren t too expensive and also you have quick makes if you don t have a lot of time.  The site is:

www.mistermaker.com and also http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/mistermaker/ where you actuallyget the videos of how to do the crafts.  I usually get my students to watch the program and then we make it together.

We play a game where the teacher has selected various costumes (simple or elaborate, doesn t matter) and placed each costume in a plastic shopping bag and tied closed. Then all the bags are placed in a box or bigger bag.

Then you play the game "hot potato" with the box or bag. When the music stops the student holding the box must take out one plastic bag and wear whatever costume is inside the bag. This keeps going until each student is wearing a costume.

Then you can do some kind of activity like getting the students to take a survey to each other about the costumes, or having each one describe why they do or don t like the costume.

Usually the children think this game is very fun and will even enjoy playing it several times. It s probably best for the 4-5 year olds, or the 5+ group.
