Do we say "In the next weekend" or Next weekend he will....

Next weekend he will be gone sailing. (for example)
or
This coming weekend he will be going home.

I think the second option is the correct one: "Next weekend he wil..."  The preposition �in � is not necessary here.

It �s better to use Next wwk-end ..... You needn �t use  the preposition "in" with time indicators such as last or next

Sorry Julian, but I beg to differ. (nice way of saying I don �t agree)
The question was:

Do we say "In the next weekend" or Next weekend he will....

In the US we don �t say "at the next weekend  he will do something-
we just say next weekend he will do the windows . (or whatever the case may be)

I �ve never heard my friends in the UK say - at the next weekend I �ll do the windows.

Liberty - i didnt say anything different .. i merely pointed out that in uk english you say �at the weekend � and in us english it �s �on the weekend � .. you can simply say .. �next weekend � in both ..

at the weekend i �ll do the windows ..
