I have a question:
Has the time in Spain changed? I mean I looked at the recent contributions and they are still the ones from yesterday. I searched in google and it says: 11:13:33 PM, Sunday 25, October 2009
CET So I wanted to ask and make sure.. Thanks Edit: Im asking because in Uruguay, its 8.pm

It must be Daylight savings, bringing the clock and hour back in preparation for Winter.

Yes, it is the end too Libertybelle! My mistake... we just began the Daylight savings here in Australia.
Is the term "Daylight Savings" used in other countries too? E.g Spain, Italy, Israel, etc...

Here in Portugal we just name it "Mudana horria", that means hour change.
What s the origin of the expression"Daylight savings"?I know that in America it s common to say that,,,
Thanks in advance!

Yes, Ladybird, (edit: & all) Zeitumstellung/ time change / Mudana horria; Daylight savings also seems reasonable, since the main point of Zeitumstellung/ time change / Mudana horria is to save energy, making the most of daylight. It makes sense, doesn t it? |
