Hi

As I native speaker from the UK I wouldn t say "do the check in" but only "check in".

e.g. at a hotel " Please check in on arrival".  Alternatively at the aiport we would often hear or use "Please go to check in"  either as a verb or as a noun i.e. the check in desks/area.

We also set a trend, not make a trend.

As far as I am aware, tendency would usually be used as a noun.

e.g.  He has a tendency for exaggeration.

Maybe other s have different ideas/opinions.

Regards
Elisabeth
