Is there a differance between:

 
"Take the first turning on the left"        and    "Take the first left"
 
"go straight on"        and       "go straight ahead"
 
 "Turn left into"         and "turn left onto"

Go straight or straight ahead
Turn left into the parking lot
Turn left on (or onto) Hollywood Ave

"at the corner"   and "on the corner"

       As far as I remember the two are different. at the corner means exactly at the corner but on the corner means somewhere near the corner.
