Please, I need your help, my dear friends: can you tell me which would be the best synonime for "to pick up one s heart"? the phrase "to take courage" ? or what else...?

If you mean to decide to do something that sb was too frightened to do before, then you can use the expression "pluck up the courage".

Denisa,
Please use the phrase in a sentence, so we can be sure of what you are saying. I m not familiar with the phrase in the US.

Thanks,
Bruce
