I would say
I am medium height.
Without any preposition.
"I am of medium intelligence" but "I am medium height" Like "I am tall" or "I am short"
Maybe this is colloquial though? Of sounds strange to me.

The thing about being medium height is that it is not tall or short - just kind of in-between. That ´s why many say:
I ´m about medium height.

I would say I ´m of medium height rather than without ay preposition at all.
First of all, because I was taught that way, secondly, because I think it is logical. While "short" and "tall" are adjectives, "height" is a noun, and to me it sounds a bit funny to say I ´m medium height... Or I ´m at medium height.
I ´d say it is the same construction as with "age":
He is of a young age. Girls of that age... et cetera.
So is with "height": A person of your height should never work on a ship.
Good luck! |
