Rich man, poor man

I come again with this question: could you help me to find some short stories or texts on the theme "Rich man, poor man" for my students?
Thank you.

Hi Denisa

It is not exactly clear if you mean the book "Rich Man, Poor Man" by Irwin Shaw or the topic in general, and you have not said how old your students are.

If you want to talk about the issues in general, here are some links:

It s not about Irwin Shaw s novel and not about the idea in general...it s about short texts that can be learnt and then acted on a scene by my students. They are supposed to get in a monologue contest which has the theme "Rich man, poor man" this year and I cannot find enough texts for them.

Sorry, Denisa, I have no idea...

Edit: Do you mean it will be the public speaking contest?

Yes, dear Baiba, and the interpretation area can cover all the ranges from humourous to dramatic....
