In another post someone said: "the donkey �s voice doesn �t reach heaven". I had never heard this idiom so I researched and and found this interesting site that directly translates many Portugeuese idioms and explains what they mean.
I got a kick out of it and thought some of you would too.

Hi douglas,
It is still early in the morning, and you just made me laugh a bit. It is nice and can also be very useful.
Although some sayings sound really odd, they usually have historical roots.
