Dear Colleagues,
What is the meaning of the following:
Hello my covey! What s the row?
"Plummy and slam"

And one more thing. Which one is correct: mustnt or musnt

I looked them up in the dictionary but it didn t help.
Thank you in advance.

Plummy and slam

It is cockney rhyming slang meaning money and jam . It means that everything is ok Thumbs Up Or something like that...

When you remove a letter, you replace it with an apostrophe.
You removed the O in not, therefore you replace it.

Must not= mustn t

You can read more about contractions here:

Thank you libertybelle. Really good site. But still there are some WS on this site that use musn t instead of mustn t.
Have a nice day!

I wouldn t worry szamoca - I ve seenn textbooks which use musn t someone obviously didn t proofread them properly! Drives me nuts when trying to explain to my students!
