for valentine īs day

Hi, I need your help...

I want to talk about St. Valentine īs Day with my adults group, but I don īt want to talk only about love. Because some of them, especially women, had already some disturbing stories related to marriage and love affairs, I don īt want her to feel lonely. So, probably I going also talk about FEELINGS... What kind of activities, worksheets, videos, songs, ... do you suggest me? I would like to read your opinion.
Thanks a lot in advance
Have a  great week
hugs from Portugal

why do we celebrate St Valentine īs Day ?
Clown it is a good subject to talk about .  That will keep them busy for ten min.
after this question , connect the subject to "commercialism" ,  this is another 5 to 8 min. conversation, and you are not talking about "love"

I can`t think anything else .

goodluck.

As adw2c says Valentine īs Day is completely different in Japan and it īs the girls who give chocolate to boys. In England girls never gave chocolate to boys unless they were totally in love.  So when I met up with my Japanese penpal around Valentines Day, when she was on a tour of Europe, and she gave me a huge chocolate heart, I thought this girl must truly love me. It wasn īt until after we married that she told me that she had bought the chocolate as a souvenir to take back to Japan.

Cultural misunderstandings can change you life!
