Overhaul at work - correct or not?

Can I say "we had a bit of an overhaul at work" meaning we had very very much of work to do?

To me an "overhaul" means redoing something.  So an "overhaul at work" makes me think that there was a reorganization of administration or curriculum or structure.

Yes, Dear Lana, Kmtr is correct. "Overhaul" means to redo something in order to improve it.

Lana, I think you want the word "overload". The confusion probably came from the fact that a "load" is something that you "haul."
