Help with modals !!

Hello everybody.

I have an English class this afternoon and I need your help to explain modal verbs for intermediate students. Firstly I always explain them English grammar  in Spanish because if I do it in English they won t understand me. I need some grammar theory about modals (must, may, migth, can, be able, should, ought...). Grammar in English would be perfect but if you have something in Spanish I ll appreciate it too.

Thanks !!

Hug

"be able" and "ought" aren t actually modals, because they use the infinitive (with "to"), while the modals use the base form (infinitive without "to")

Yes, vanogator, you are right but in the English book we have they consider them as modals.

Thanks  and hughs.
