Hello! i think there is a difference indeed: I use claws when I want to indicate the nail in an animal paw, that should be the equivalent to hand in human terms. I hope you catch it.

Hello !

According to my modest knowledge, claws are  mostly restricted to birds retracting nails.Paws are clawed feet of an animal, especially quadruped(four-legged animals) ones such as lions;tigers ;wolves...etc
I hope I have given some help

Gaza child- that s not correct.  Kate is right - claws are the nails and paws are the soft part.

Kate is correct... Most animals with paws also have claws... i.e. nails...

I know Olindalima is joking, but be clear that people have fingernails, not claws. Linda is a very funny lady.
