Where is ´already ´ placed within a question?

Hi everyoone!
Could you help me with this?
I always have doubts about the position of ´already ´ in questions. Would you say...
a) Where does an environmental police force exist already?  or
b) Where does an environmental police force already exist?

Thanks for your help

B is a better choice. A sounds like the speaker is a little annoyed.

As a US English speaker I would say the second one is better.

I would say it depends what are you try to express. The B is definately better when you are making a statement. A would suggest that you are inquiring in an annoyed way... It is something americans would use.

As a native speaker of US English, I don ´t hear any annoyance in the first choice. The second choice is better and more common, but both are correct.
