Facts or signs that show clearly that something exists or is true are called evidence.

Is it correct to use "are"?

yup, correct because the subject if the sentence is FACTS or SIGNS, so the choice of the verb depends on the subject of the sentence.

But...all the sentence is a fact....and a consequence...Are you sure that it can �t be "is"?
