Help with prepositions

Hello everybody!

I need your help about which of these prepositions in correct in this sentence: he had four siblings, two of whom were by/of/from another mum. Thanks for your help and Happy Easter!

Hi Aldegunde,

In American English, we use all three of those.  The most common is by in that context.  Hope that helps!

Hehe--I say you can use "by" or "from".  "Of" is probably gramatically correct but it doesn t sound right to my native ears.
