							Hello everbody!

I ve taught for almost 3 years and now I m getting problems with my students. They don t want to work or they wan to play all the time. I work with students from all ages and my classes must be dinamic and entertaining.

Hope you can help me or give some ideas to work in the way my school requires without making my class a playground

In advanced thanks! =) |

Can you ask your school to allow you to teach with a Native-Speaking teacher for a few classes, or even just for one class. Then you can ask that co-teacher to "set the ground rules" and explain to the students the importance of learning English. I think you need a co-worker to help you explain the situation to the children. If they develop better understanding of what you are trying to achieve, then perhaps they will be more cooperative and less demanding for "entertainment" in the future. I have asked a native co-teacher to help me do this before, and once the ground-rules were set and properly understood, classes improved. Give it a try! Get someone to help you! |

try the cooperative learning. some basics at this site: http://olc.spsd.sk.ca/DE/PD/instr/strats/coop/index.html with my primary pupils, I use games like bingo, memory, dominoes that I make or ws from very useful books like Scholastic time server. I also use to give little prizes (sweets, pens, rubbers, stickers...) for the ones those give me right feedbacks. any case, don t feel the one: this is THE problem, for me
