a mistake?

Hi dear fellow teachers

Can you tell me is there a mistake in the following sentence:

He was not driving slow enough to see the name of the place.

An entry test asks for identification of a mistake, but I cannot find it.

Can you help?

Thanx in advance!

Hugs!

HI,
Maybe it should be "slowly enough", as it is modifying a verb.

Yes, that;s the mistake. It must be slowly since it modifies a verb and slowly is the appropriate adverb!

Hi Veljaca,

Yes, I agree with the others, it should be an adverb.

Still, do not feel bad about the fact that you couldn t find the mistake, in American English it is common to omit adverbs, adjectives are used instead, unless you are an anchor on TV or the CEO giving a speech ;o)
