Hi all!
Are these 3 sentences correct? If yes, the meaning is the same?
The journey took over 2 weeks.
The trip took over 2 weeks.
The voyage took over 2 weeks.

Journey = travelling like by boat or train or bus etc.
trip = going away to some place -- I took a trip (by car, boat, train) to Spain
voyage = going somewhere by ship |

Barbara �s explanation of the three words is very clear.
As for your three sentences, the first and the third sound OK to me, but two weeks sound rather a long period for a trip; except in the sense that the trip lasted longer than it was originally expected. But then, I �m not a native speaker so I could be wrong.
Perhaps you will also find this useful.
Edit: Just another thought ... In the first and third sentence it took somebody two weeks travelling to reach their destination. In the second sentence it took somebody two weeks to go to and get back from their destination including the activities that took place in between.
