Can someone please explain to me what does the phrase "A view of the world from God �s knee is unlikely" means?

As, �from God�s knee�, would mean that one is sitting on God�s knee,

a literal explanation probably means that it is unlikely that one could or would be able to sit on God�s knee to look at the world.
