Just sitting in the staff room and a collegue asks if it is possible to say: I ordered two orange juices .... or should you always say two glasses of orange juice?
Thanks!
Have a nice day!

Hi mcamca!
Two glasses of orange juice - countable
Or Some orange juice - uncountable.
Hugs!

Well, us "natives" will tell you that it is indeed said. We often say things like:

"I got the coffees... the waiter will bring them."

"I ordered 3 Cokes."

"Tom got us our wines from the table."

The sentences are not grammatically correct obviously, but we do use them that way in real life. Smile

Absolutely! We, native speakers, do say I ll have two orange juices. No one has really taught native speakers the correct grammar! Ha! Ha!

To confuse the issue young people say "I ll have two OJs please!"

Don t you just love English! NOT! (also grammatically incorrect but as common as ditch water!)

Cheers Joy

Sorry, but what exactly is grammatically incorrect about ordering two orange juices?

I ll have an orange juice. On second thoughts, I ll have a Guinness - make it a pint!

Cheers!
