I need help please.
Is it correct to say:
- People living in such place would start by consisting of a salad bowl...
or schould we say:
- People living in such a place...
what about the rest of the sentence? ...could form a salad bowl... instead of "would start by consisting of a salad bowl"
What do you say?
Thank you :-) |

Since the word place is countable in such a place is correct but the rest of the sentence doesn t make sense.Maybe preparing a bowl of salad consisting of ................. would be a better choice. Have a nice weekend! Dora

It s a very strange sentence!
I might say, People living in such a place would start by making a bowl of salad or start by having a bowl of salad but I can t think of a context in which I would use that sentence!!!

it s about the metaphor "salad bowl" vs "melting pot" - topic: America / immigrants.
I didn t explain myself well I m sorry ;-) |
