Not sure about the text

The only thing that bothers me about the corrections is that dogs and cats don t throw dirt, the may dig dirt up, or scatter it, or make holes in the garden, however.

Also, we usually refer to animals as him or her, not it. (carried him)

Hi Misa,
Now that you have your original text and the one with corrections you could use it as a very useful exercise for your students. You could tell them that there are certain mistakes in the text and that you would like them to find depending on what you want them to learn.
Just a suggestion. :)

Hello Misa -
here are a few more ideas-

One day last summer, Sandra was listening to the radio. Suddenly she heard a noise and looked out of the window. She saw her neighbours dog, Barker. He was chasing her cat, Twinkle. They were running around the garden, throwing? earth and plants all over the place. Sandra stood up and started shouting at them but they didnt stop. So she ran into the garden. She managed to catch Barker and carried him back (to the house) next door but she couldnt see her neighbour anywhere.

She was curious as to what her neighbour was doing so she went to look for him. She found him in the kitchen. He was cooking chicken curry and asked Sandra to stay for the dinner. While he was setting the table, she told him what happened in her garden. He was really sorry and promised to put everything in order. When the dinner was ready and they sat at the table. They were talking about their lives and childhood, and found out they had a lot of things in common.

The next day Patrick (that was the name of Sandras neighbour) came around and started working in her garden. While he was working she prepared some snacks (OR a snack). They became really close friends and they are going to get married next week.

I think that some noise is better than a noise in this case, since when the animals are digging up the garden and knocking everything over during their chase, there will be lots of noise, not just one noise.

I like the story.
