Suggestion for a welcoming TITLE

Hello dear teachers,

On the 17th of this month I m going to attend a Memorial related to my translation work of many years.
To make a long story short, I helped a man on his work and research in retracing the story of a B-17 that crashed in our region during WWII.
We found most of the families and we are going to receive them for a big ceremonial.

We want to make a welcome banner ... I came up with one title but I m not really happy with it ... all suggestions are welcome.

"Welcome to the 1st B17 Crew Member Tribute"

I ll put some pics and detail of this event after it happend ;) maybe a video.

Thanks in advence for your help;)

Babs Wink
PS: the families are coming from the States ;)
and we have an association here "The Moselle River" who´s making come more than 180 military from the infantery
for a big ceremony too ... we will be part of it

Hello Babs!
First of all, I want to congratulate you for the great work you are doing in setting up this event.
As to the wb, I have a humble suggestion:

"Welcome to the 1st Memorial Ceremony in honor of the B-17 Crew Members."

Or, you can just add to yours "Ceremony" at the end.

I hope I could have helped.

Looking forward to seeing the pics and Vids.

Hugs Smile

Hi Babs
That s a wonderful and quite moving work you are doing - I can understand how deeply you are involved.

Just a suggestion, obviously you are completely in and I am out. I would prefer a title to refer to the ones who lost their lives in the crash, rather than welcoming their families; my opinion, you want the tribute to be to the ones who had their planed crashed, only after, you want to welcome the relatives.

Farewell to the  B17 Crew .

Our Tribute

Just an idea,as I said you must know much better what suits and what doesn t. If this is the first tribute, after so many years, it s also the first goodbye, they never got one, so, it s time to wave your white handkerchiefs and let them go,

Edit : I cut 1st ( obviously, I forgot it, sorry.

Great point of view Linda ;)

Yes, after so many years .... It s gonna be the FIRST tribute made to those crew members
I m taking your advice in mind Heart

**************************

Not all crew members past away on that crash.
5 were made POW
1 escaped by the "resistance"
3 died when bailed out
